Alleged Bin Ladin assasination insertion went terribly wrong, unlikely SEALS were involved.

by Atom Ant (Notes) on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 6:07am

In truth, this appears to be as bad as Jimmy Carter's hostage rescue attempt screw up... and the Bin Laden killing claim was to cover it up.

The helicopter used in the insertion did not have "mechanical trouble" as put out by the Obama news propaganda machine. It clearly crashed. With this first clear lie, I have to question the entire story.

First it is unlikely Obama was playing golf and had to be called to the White House to watch the mission. It is more likely he was called in because of the crash of a special Army helicopter in Pakistan (an alleged ally).

I am a helicopter pilot that flew in the military, have tested aircraft, and have investigated accidents for the military and for the FAA.

Here is my interpretation of what occurred with the few photos available.

When making the insertion the helicopters came in low and relatively fast. They flew in this manner to avoid radar detection. There is no way they would not have gone in without a gunship leading the insertion team, which was then used for high cover as the troops dropped into the compound. The Marine amphibious assault teams I worked with did this type of mission hundreds of times.

Once on target, in order to slow down, the pilot had to make a "quick stop". This maneuver his hard to do correctly in the day light with a head wind. This pilot had to do this with night vision goggles that severely reduce depth perception. This involves dropping the collective as the nose is lifted almost standing the helicopter on its tail. Tail strikes are common when practicing this maneuver. The usual cause is "settling with power". This is when the helicopter enters its own down wash of air. This creates an odd phenomenon where increasing power only causes the helicopter to fall faster. All helicopter pilots train how to avoid and get out of this condition.

The tail section struck the compounds wall when the helicopter was in position 4 of the diagram.

What likely contributed to this crash was the other helicopters involved in the insertion and their down wash. The gun ship / ships, which likely were providing high cover produced a down wash that the insertion helicopter could be effected by. The insertion helicopter came in below the support gun ships and likely entered their down wash.

Clearly the tail section struck the wall and separated from the helicopter on approach. The main section of the helicopter then crashed and burned inside the compound. This was no "mechanical trouble" as they first reported, unless you call crashing into a wall "mechanical trouble".

It looks like the pilot when in position 4 of the first diagram "settled with power" (lost lift) probably due to the down wash of the other helicopters involved in the insertion. http://www.cybercom.net/~copters/aero/settling.html

The helicopter then struck the wall during the insertion leaving the tail section on one side of the wall and the main body of the helicopter crashing down on the other side of the wall. The helicopter either burned by itself or the troops set the helicopter on fire after retrieving the occupants. It is more likely this burned on its own killing and /or injuring its occupants.

The Pakistanis were informed of the need to hide the remains, but did not do a very good job as seen here.

Sadly, I don't believe this crash was without serious bodily injury or death.

To hide deaths in covert operations, it is very common for the deaths are reported two or three weeks later as IED or training accidents.

May 26, 2011, three weeks after this crash 7 soldiers were killed by an IED and two helicopter pilots were killed. This would be the size of an insertion team, and the number of pilots on this aircraft.

The report claims 7 soldiers were killed by an IED in a field. This is a very fishy story, because 7 soldiers would not likely be traveling close enough spread out in a field on patrol. The claim was the soldiers hit a very large IED. This story of an IED doesn't pass the smell test.

Here are the soldiers that likely died in this raid. Note they are ARMY and not SEALS.

SEALS are not stationed at Army bases, and it is an Army base that Obama, went to thank the soldiers for their mission. Fort Campbell, KY. Claiming SEALS were involved was to through off the public and possible enemy reprisal. "President Obama greets military personnel at Fort Campbell this afternoon" (Note - the AIRBORNE flags) not one SEAL in sight... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1384432/President-Obama-flies-military-base-meet-Navy-SEALs-killed-Osama-Bin-Laden.html

Bin Laden was allegedly killed in Abbottabad, Pakistan. An Army helicopter pilot, Chief Warrant Officer Christopher R. Thibodeau, was reported as dying from injuries from a crash in Paktika Afghanistan, the closest Afghan providence to Abbottabad, Pakistan and likely mission launching point. First reports was a training accident then it was changed to combat. Later changed to "died May 26 in Naka Bowl, Paktika province, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when his helicopter crashed during combat operations."

Here CNN screws up the faked report: http://edition.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/05/24/afghanistan.chopper.crash/index.html This was notification that a NATO helicopter crew member was killed between April 26 and May 24. It is likely the flight crew for the mission included someone fluent in Pakistani Arabic or possibly a Turkish citizen to throw off Pakistani ATC should the insertion team be seen and called by ATC.

The two reports, one CNN the other over various American news outlets for the military, were to account for the 2 pilots killed, one American the other a NATO member helicopter pilot.

There is still no explanation as to why Bin Laden, a very sick man in 2000, was allegedly living without need of medical devises May 2011 in Pakistan.

Two months later, as the glee subsided from the story Bin Laden was dead, and people began to question the story, 22 members of SEAL TEAM 6 were killed... These SEALS were likely killed to cover up the botched raid. Far too many people were questioning the first story.

Note - how they report first claimed they were the SEALS involved in the raid... and then later the report was changed.
